Bond's Sage Integration
Connect Sage Intacct and Sage 200 to Bond for unified financial management, automated reconciliation, and real-time treasury visibility across your accounting and treasury operations. Through a single API gateway, clients gain seamless access to more than 20,000 global financial counterparties including banks, PSPs, FX brokers, and liquidity providers — directly from within Bond.
Overview
Bond's integration with Sage connects your accounting platform directly to your treasury operations, enabling real-time data sharing between the two systems. Finance teams using Sage gain immediate access to treasury-grade cash management, forecasting, and payment capabilities — without leaving their familiar accounting environment.
The integration replaces manual CSV exports, spreadsheet-based reconciliation, and fragmented cash visibility with automated, bidirectional data flows. Treasury teams work with current data from Sage, while accounting entries generated by treasury activity are posted back automatically.

Supported Sage products
Bond integrates with the following Sage products:
- Sage Intacct: Full integration via Sage Intacct's Web Services API, supporting multi-entity, multi-currency, and dimensional reporting capabilities.
- Sage 200: Integration through Sage 200's REST API, covering accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation data.
- Sage Business Cloud: Cloud-native integration using Sage's Accounting API for real-time data access and automated journal posting.
How it works — Data flows
Bond connects to your Sage environment through secure, authenticated API connections. Data flows bidirectionally between Sage, Bond, and the banking network.
From Sage, outbound data such as accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger data flows into Bond, where it is processed and enriched. In the opposite direction, inbound data including payment confirmations, bank statements, reconciliation entries, and treasury journals flows from Bond back into Sage.
Inbound: Sage → Bond
Bond retrieves master data and transactional data from Sage via Web Services and REST APIs. Key inbound data includes chart of accounts, AP/AR transactions, bank account records, vendor and customer master data, and tax configurations.
Outbound: Bond → Sage
Bond validates payment data, applies multi-level approvals, and posts journals, payment confirmations, bank reconciliation entries, and FX gain/loss entries back to Sage automatically. All postings respect Sage's account structure and dimensional requirements.
Journal entries
Bond posts payments, receipts, FX gains/losses, interest accruals, bank fees, intercompany settlements, and loan/investment accounting. Each journal supports multi-entity, multi-currency, dimensional tagging, and auto-reversal where required.
Integration engines
Bond's integration layer is composed of five purpose-built engines that work together to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and operational reliability.
Mapping Engine
Accounts, entities, dimensions, payment types, custom fields, and journals.
Transformation Engine
GL formatting, currency conversion, date/period formatting, and data standardisation.
Validation Engine
Required fields, accounting rules, debit/credit balancing, and duplicate checking.
Scheduling Engine
Real-time, webhook-based, or scheduled runs with automatic retries and incremental or full syncs.
Monitoring & Logging
API request/response logs, error alerts, posting status returns, and a complete audit trail.
Implementation methodology
Bond follows a structured five-step implementation process for Sage integrations, ensuring a smooth and reliable go-live.
Discovery
Review chart of accounts, entity structure, and payment workflows.
Sage Setup
Configure API credentials, OAuth tokens, and webhook subscriptions.
Bond Configuration
Build mapping tables, configure routing rules, and set up sync schedules.
Testing
Unit testing of individual data flows plus end-to-end validation of complete treasury workflows.
Go Live
Production deployment with hypercare monitoring, performance tuning, and dedicated support.
Automated reconciliation
Bond's reconciliation engine matches bank transactions with Sage accounting entries automatically. The AI learns from your historical matching patterns and handles complex scenarios including batch payments, partial settlements, and multi-currency conversions. Unmatched items are surfaced with suggested matches, reducing manual reconciliation time by up to 90%.
Reconciliation results are posted back to Sage as reconciliation entries, keeping your bank reconciliation in Sage up to date without manual intervention.
Security
All data exchanged between Bond and Sage is encrypted in transit and at rest. API connections use OAuth 2.0 authentication with token-based access control. Bond adheres to Sage's API usage policies and rate limits, and maintains a complete audit trail of all data interactions for compliance and audit purposes.
