Journals, Posted by Agents.

Journal Entries sit in the Ledgers domain. Agents draft, balance, and post the entries that used to be keyed from spreadsheets, so your team reviews journals instead of writing them.

FAQs

Your questions, answered.

No. Your ERP remains the general ledger and the system of record. Bond’s agents connect through native integrations, read the data a journal depends on, draft the entry, and post it back through the ERP’s own journal API — using your chart of accounts, periods, and posting rules. There is no parallel ledger to keep in sync.
Recurring and rules-based entries first: expense and revenue accruals, prepayment releases, reclasses, bank fees and interest, FX revaluation and translation, intercompany charges and eliminations, and depreciation checks. Each is drafted from source data with the calculation shown line by line, and new journal types can be taught from a handful of examples.
Every draft is balanced by construction and carries its basis — the invoice, contract, rate, or schedule it was built from — and a plain-English explanation of the calculation. Entries below your materiality threshold post automatically; those above it, or touching sensitive accounts, wait for a named approver. Nothing posts without a trail you can hand to audit.
Auto-reversing accruals are scheduled for the first day of the next period and posted when it opens. Agents respect your period lock, queue entries for closed periods for the controller to decide, and flag any journal that would move a reconciled balance — so the close moves forward, not backward.
